Thanks Yup. Prismacolors and watercolors are my usual weapons of choice when doing color work. The rain was done with a combo of dry brush technique with the brush bristles spread apart to create lines. And then I went over it with white paint. Getting the brush extremely wet so that it's dipping, and then splattering it. Then while the splattered paint was still wet, I'd go in with a finer brush and with a zig-zag motion, created the water bounce effects where the rain is hitting the creature. Then went back in once everything was dry to add some crisp white lines to create the longer streaks of rain. Key was to get it all flowing in one direction to get some motion and energy to it.
